About me & my Blog
Nowadays, stress and anxiety often feel like an unavoidable part of life — especially for those balancing jobs, responsibilities, and personal growth. But I believe that we don’t need to escape our daily routines to find peace. Instead, presence and conscious living are powerful tools we can use right where we are.
Welcome to Present Pondering — a space where we explore spiritual and emotional well-being in the context of everyday life. Whether you’re navigating a 9–5 job, managing a busy household, or just trying to stay grounded in a chaotic world, this blog is here to help you reconnect with the present moment, break free from anxious patterns, and tap into a deeper sense of awareness.
Through reflections, practical tools, book reviews, and personal experiences, I invite you to join me in discovering what it means to live more consciously — not by changing your whole life, but by changing how you live it.
Who am I?
I’m not a guru, a spiritual teacher, or a certified expert in philosophy or medicine. I’m simply a fellow human — working, growing, and figuring things out like everyone else. So why start a blog about presence, peace, and conscious living? Because, like many, I’ve felt the weight of stress and disconnection, and through personal experiences, I’ve discovered how powerful even small moments of awareness can be.
This blog is my way of exploring those ideas more deeply — not from a place of authority, but from curiosity and lived experience. I want to share what I’m learning, reflect on what it means to be truly present in a busy world, and invite you to grow alongside me.
My Journey So Far: First Experiences
I still remember my first experience with meditation. It was back in 2019, during a six-month backpacking trip across Canada, shortly after finishing my Business degree in Germany. At the time, I felt disconnected — like I was living a life that made sense on paper, but not in my heart. Studying Business had been a practical choice, but it left me feeling unfulfilled and increasingly stressed.
Before that trip, I had barely left my hometown, and I felt a deep urge to break out of routine and explore something more — not just geographically, but internally. A couple of months into my journey, I traveled from Prince Edward Island to Ontario, passing through New Brunswick and Québec. I stayed for a few weeks with a kind woman who ran a dog kennel, volunteering in exchange for a place to stay and a chance to connect with the local way of life.

One afternoon, after finishing my daily chores, I found myself alone in my room, lying on the bed with no distractions — no plans, no noise, just stillness. As I stared at the ceiling, I became deeply aware of my surroundings and even more aware of the thoughts passing through my mind.
Before the trip, I had read about meditation a few times online, and it had always intrigued me. This felt like the right moment to try it for myself. Curious and slightly nervous, I opened YouTube and clicked on the first guided meditation video that appeared.
I followed the voice’s instructions, breathing slowly and deliberately. Within minutes, I began to visualize myself as the ocean — calm, vast, and steady — while my thoughts rolled in and out like waves. The image grew more vivid with each passing breath, until it felt like I had drifted into another state entirely.
When I finally opened my eyes, it was as if I had just woken up from a dream — not an escape, but a return. I felt unexpectedly peaceful, like I had touched something true inside myself. It may sound dramatic, but in that moment, I felt a deep sense of contentment I hadn’t experienced in a long time.
From then on, I was hooked.
How the Wim Hof Method changed everything

After returning to Europe, I felt a strong determination to deepen my spiritual practice. For the first time, I had glimpsed a sense of purpose — not through career goals or achievements, but through presence and inner awareness. I left my hometown once again, this time to pursue further studies in Austria, hoping that a new environment would help me stay connected to that inner spark.
I kept up my yoga and guided meditation routines, and I continued diving into books and videos on mindfulness, spirituality, and self-development. These practices brought clarity and calm, but I was still searching for something more — a breakthrough that would truly shift how I experienced life.
That’s when I stumbled across the Wim Hof Method, almost by accident. I was instantly fascinated by this man who called himself “The Iceman,” and by the incredible things he was able to do — all through breathwork, cold exposure, and mental focus. The idea that you could consciously influence your immune system and stress response with something as simple as breathing was mind-blowing to me.
I signed up for my first Wim Hof workshop without hesitation.
And that’s where everything started to change.
A Shared Exploration: Connect and Experience
This blog wasn’t created to showcase expertise or pretend to have all the answers. It was born from a simple but powerful desire: to share real stories, honest reflections, and meaningful lessons from my journey toward a more conscious, present life.
Present Pondering is my way of offering something genuine — not from the top of a mountain, but from right here in the middle of everyday life. Whether you’re working a 9–5, managing daily stress, or just starting to ask deeper questions, this space is for you.
I hope the thoughts shared here inspire you to reflect, re-think old patterns, and explore your own experiences. I don’t have a fixed destination in mind — just a commitment to walking this path with curiosity, presence, and openness.
This journey is mine, but it’s also ours. And I’m glad you’re here.
